I have lived in Bradford-On-Avon for five years and have become shocked by the amount of alternative health care advertised in the town.
I've always been vigilant for the promotion of misinformation locally because I host a skeptical podcast and it's something that we talk about on the show quite often. However, my research in the town led me to uncover some rather shocking misinformation being promoted about health care that I felt needed to be countered with scientific facts.
How else can the residents of Bradford-On-Avon make an informed decision about their health care?

Great site about Bradford-On-Avon, very informative.
Excellent site. Concise neat explanations of the myths, linking to best available wisdom on the realities. People in B-o-A are very lucky to have this resource.
homeopathyfan, hayley is not following orders either. Never sure why alt med types think anyone who considers peer reviewed research to be paid off by "big pharma". And big pharma deserves a profit because they risk millions on clinical trials to prove the safety and efficacy of their drugs. Which actually cure and prevent disease! Let me know when homeopahts do likewise. Mmmmkay?
Homeopaths seem to believe if they repeat a lie it makes it true, but like their potions, repeating something just dilutes it to the point of nonexistance.
HF- Also, since you don't directly deny it, may I presume that it's true?
HF- That's a pretty dire accusation. I presume you have proof of this somewhere.
It's not us who are the sheep followng orders.
What's worse - providing medical treatment that works and is validated by research, or lying to people - charging them money for consultations that are based on fiction then charging them more for sugar pills? Homeopathy is founded on delusion and has the capacity to cause harm by conning people into believing they are receiving treatment. Homeopaths take peoples' money and give them sugar in return. It's an unethical and shameful practice and I'm amazed that you can hold your head up and claim your magic helps people.
HF- is it true that homeopaths have been instructed by BHA to accuse all critics of working for "big pharma"?
I have the books and donate button in the hope I can raise some profit and use it to get some leaflets made for Brighter BOA to distribute around town. not that I need to justify myself to you. I'm not going to answer anything else you have to say because you bore me. Zzz Zzz Zzz.
Why do you sell books on your site and have a donate button if you're so innocent?
The truth is that slagging off homeapathy makes a profit for pharma companies who employ bloggers like Hayley Stevens to do their dirty work. Simple as that.
You know what? I actually put myself out of pocket so that I can recieve abuse like this from people like you. I don't get any money for setting up this site or reading my articles. It would be great if I did, but I don't.
Why do it?
Well, because people like yourself tell people who are ill that you can cure them with magic and that just isn't true. Believe what you will just don't put people at risk with your delusions.
And I like Smarties. Wouldn't take them to cure an illness though.
What's the truth, HomeopathyFan? Some of us aren't up with the latest happenings in conspiracy theory.
I hae been practicing homeopathic treatments for 12 years now. I think I know more than you CYNICS all put togehter. I have seen this work. I have seen the miracles. You will one day and then you'll realise th mistakes you have made. Fools.
Dear Homeopathy fan - I could unleash an offensive diatribe against you hoping that fixes your attitude based on the principle of like-cures-like, but I have a feeling that wouldn't work.
Please feel free to continue to help other like minded folk help the NHS budget go further by self-diagnosing and taking sugar pills.
Oh - and if you're suggesting there's a conspiracy against homeopathy to help line the pockets of "big-pharma" - how much did you pay for your last homeopathy consultation? Anyone can buy shares in big pharma and benefit from the conspiracy, but the only person's pockets being lined is the quack you're buying remedies from.
Whatever. You know th truth and you have your agendas. We know the turth and you can't fool everyone. The overdose was stupid, what a shame it didn't work. Wed be laughing at you all then. ha. ha. ha.
If someone calls you a "silly little girl" it usually means they've lost the argument through rational debate and resort to name-calling.
Hello homeopathy fan,
Thank you for visiting my website on which I promote a common sense approach to alt med. I appreciate you have opposing views to mine, but until you can put forwards a proper argument that doesn't consist of personal insults it's probably not worth posting because you make yourself look a bit daft. No offence.

Your a closed mind fool who can't see the evidence infrotn of you. wake up. Hayley Stevens = silly little girl. don't listen a word she says..
Like the site - we need to promote debate about some "alternative" treatments.
Homeopathy, Magnet therapy, theta dna healing and all other woo = Placebo effect, I try and explain to as many people as possible.
I honestly thought you could get hyper from sugar! Interesting. TY
